Limit Reports that Marvel Studios has now found authors for their new movie Fantastic Four. Jeff Kaplan – not to be confused with former Blizzard’s Jeff Kaplan – and Ian Springer head to the Baxter Building as they prepare to write the script for the highly anticipated movie.
Deadline sources added the fact that Kaplan and Springer had been involved in the film for some time, even before Matt Shukman was signed as director. On top of that, the duo were helping determine where this next series of films would fit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige.
The news of Shacman’s signing as director was broken by Deadline before it was confirmed at this year’s D23. Kaplan and Springer remain newcomers to the industry with the team known primarily for indie comedies Bert and Arnie’s Guide to Friendship from 2013.
A new Fantastic Four movie will likely begin in Phase 6, where it will premiere on November 8, 2024. Two Avengers: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty movies will follow on May 2 of that year, and Avengers: Secret Wars six months later.
As for the cast of the movie, it has not been announced yet, but several big stars are rumored to be attached, but nothing has been confirmed yet and we are still far from any kind of announcement regarding those.
