Nintendo reports that a bug has been found in Splatoon 3, and it may cause votes to not count in Splatfest results this weekend.
Sharing the details on Twitter, Big N says that some players have found that the conch shell they picked up before voting for Splatfest — which is either Gear, Grub or Fun — may disappear. If they do, it means that the player’s vote may not count.
For now, Nintendo recommends players vote before collecting oyster shells. Here is the company’s message:
An error has been found in #Splatoon3 where oyster shells obtained prior to voting may disappear and will not count toward the Splatfest results.
To avoid this problem, we recommend players to vote in Splatfest before collecting oyster shells. We apologize for the inconvenience. This bug will be fixed in the future. “
Conch shells can be obtained during the Splatfest Sneak Peek, which takes place in the days leading up to the next Splatfest Festival. There doesn’t seem to be any problems collecting oyster shells after you vote for your team, so just run to that board and pick your side!
Splatfest kicks off this week at 5 p.m. PT on Friday, September 23rd in North America, Saturday 24th September from 2am GMT in Europe and 1am EST on Saturday 24th September in Australia. The second half of the event will start 24 hours after the event starts. It’s the weekend!
We’ll let you know when Nintendo can fix the bug, but for now, ignore these shells until you vote!
