LISBON, Portugal (AP) – TAP Air Portugal, the Portuguese national airline, said hackers obtained the personal data of some of its customers and spread the information on the dark web.

In a statement late Wednesday, the company said that no payment data was obtained in the cyber attack.

The airline said that the attack began about a month ago, and the Portuguese authorities are investigating it with the help of specialists from Microsoft.

The airline said the hackers obtained the name, nationality, gender, date of birth, address, email and phone contact data, without elaborating.

Portuguese newspaper Expresso said a hacker group called Ragnar Locker was exposing information about 1.5 million customers of TAP Air Portugal on the dark web.
