Conservative activist Virginia Thomas, wife of Right-wing Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, agreed to a voluntary interview with the Jan. 6 panel.

Mark Pauleta, Ms. Thomas’ attorney, said she was “eager to answer the committee’s questions to clear up any misconceptions about its work in relation to the 2020 election.”

Ms. Thomas has reportedly called lawmakers in Arizona and Wisconsin, both vital swing states, as part of Donald Trump’s bid to stay in office after his 2020 defeat to Joe Biden, According to the Associated Press,.

Emails and records showed that Ms Thomas was involved in some aspects of Trump’s “fake voters” scheme, which is currently under investigation.

She has also been in contact with Mr Trump’s lawyer, John Eastman, about strategies to nullify the election result, According to NBC News.

“I can confirm that Jenny Thomas has agreed to participate in a voluntary interview with the Committee,” Pauleta told Reuters.

“As she said from the outset, Ms. Thomas is eager to answer the committee’s questions to clear up any misconceptions about her work in relation to the 2020 election.”

The announcement that it will speak with the House committee investigating the pro-Trump violent insurgency comes after the committee announced it would hold its next — and possibly last — public hearing on September 28.

It is not known if the interview with Ms. Thomas will appear at that hearing.

The commission plans to conclude its investigation by the end of 2022, before writing a final report on its findings in Trump supporters’ attempt to illegally certify Biden’s legal victory.

Mr. Trump, who may run again for the White House in 2024, has repeatedly claimed he lost due to voter fraud, allegations repeatedly rejected by courts across the country.
