Ti plant has leathery, spear-shaped leaves that come in many different colours. This plant is also known as Cordyline. The evergreen shrub has leaves that can be red, green, white, yellow, purple or reddish-purple. Some cordyline plants have white, pink, or lavender flowers with berries in early summer.
Cordyline plants can grow well both outside and inside. Cordyline plants that grow outside are more likely to bloom, but some indoor varieties can also do so. This plant delivery is available in southeast Asia, eastern Australia, Hawaii, and other Pacific islands.
Cordyline is a tropical plant in the dracaena family. Its ideal hardiness zone is where the average temperature is usually above 55°F. A cordyline plant should be kept in a very sunny spot indoors.

6 Varieties of Cordyline Plant
There are many kinds of cordyline plants, and most of them have colourful leaves. Cordyline plants can grow to be about a foot tall, depending on where you put them.
1. Cordyline Fruticosa:
This version has glossy, colourful leaves that change depending on the cultivar. The trunk can grow up to 10 feet tall and is also called Cordyline terminalis.
2. Cordyline Pumilio:
This type comes from New Zealand and is used to sweeten foods. It is also called a dwarf cabbage tree or a pygmy cabbage tree. It doesn’t have a trunk and only grows up to 3 feet tall. Its green leaves look like grass to someone who hasn’t seen them before.
3. Cordyline Australis:
The Red Star plant has big, pointed, red leaves that are arranged in a circle. In early summer, it has white flowers. Unlike other types of cordyline, the Red Star Ti plant does best in a dry environment with low humidity and only part sun, not full sun. Because the tap root is so long, the Red Star also needs to be planted in a very deep container.
4. Cordyline Electric Pink:
This type of cordyline has long, pointed pink leaves that stand out in any garden. It can survive in temperatures as low as 15°F, which is much lower than most plants.
5. Cordyline Red Sensation:
It is a type of cordyline with long red leaves that is also very bright. This hardy cordyline can live as a small plant indoors or grow into a big bush outside in a big pot. It can handle drought and low temperatures very well.
6. Cordyline Red Sister:
The Hawaiian Ti plant, also known as Red Ti, has dark green and deep pink leaves and is often called the “good luck plant.” When planted outside, the Red Ti does best in tropical climates where it gets plenty of water, and the soil stays moist.

If you planted cordyline outside in a cooler climate, you should report it and bring it inside for the winter to keep it warm. Then you can decide whether to put the cordyline back outside or keep it inside.
Pests like plant scale, spider mites, and mealybugs can be found at the base of Cordyline plants. About once a week, spray an insecticide on the cordyline to get rid of the bugs.
Cordyline could be affected by the water you use. If the leaves start to turn brown, it might be because the water has too much fluoride. Instead of using water from the tap, you could try using bottled water to fix the problem.
